Agalychnis Hulli is a very little known species of Treefrog. Its favorite habitats are located in the most remote forets of Ecuador and Peru where it is very difficult to come across. Adults can reach big sizes, as much as 10 centimetres.
After heavy rains, those gigantic worms come to the open air, as the underground cavities in which they leave get filled with water.
A few moments filmed during an expedition in February 2013, at lower elevation within the Bigal sector. Many animals (and countless tracks) could be observed, collected and studied. Thanks to a mobile camp, unexplored parts of the Reserve could be visited and mapped, some as low as 400 metros above sea level.
